I have to live a period among you like yourself then after living the same life that you are living and then God bring me out of that life that you are living then still give me life to live the life that He wants me to live…but don’t think I don’t know how to be wise and healthy. I already have that along with me. But I want to show you that I can live your life for a certain time and then come out of it.” The Hon. Elijah Muhammad on October 8, 1972 What did the Hon. Elijah Muhammad mean that he would live a period of time among us like ourselves? What did he mean that God would give him life to live the life that He wants him to live? He made clear that he was referring to after God taught him when saying that he would live a period among us like ourselves. He was referring to a future time when God would raise him into a higher life than the life he had already been raised into in 1931. The period among us like ourselves was from 1931 to 1975. In this phase of his life he would dwell among us with the Wisdom that he received from God in Person, but would still live a life similar to the life we live. For example, he would eat meat and be afflicted with many of the diseases that we are afflicted with as a people. The time when God would give him life to live the life that He (God) wants him to live began in 1975. The Death Plot in 1975 helped to usher in a new phase of his life when he would live fully like God.
