You see, a boy of twelve, of our age, knows about the world more than Plato did, knows more about the world than the greatest sages of the past did, because the brain is rapidly evolving. And in this rapid evolution, it is absolutely necessary now that man should know to manipulate the brain so that this chamber opens up, what I call Kundalini. That man will have access to both the worlds—the world of life and the world of matter. We are composed of two worlds—thought and body, mind and flesh. We know everything about flesh, most of it, but nothing about mind. If you ask anyone, what is this mind? Is it a compound? Is it a chemical substance? Is it an electric thing, no one will be able to answer this question. Our knowledge of mind is absolutely zero. So this is that knowledge which is not present at this time. I am trying to find a way to show it in an empirical way. I do not want to found a cult. That is as distant for me as anything. What I want to do is to bring science to realize that there is more in man than it knows of. It doesn’t know anything about mind. This is the main object which I am trying to achieve. To know the nature of mind. To know the nature of soul. Then alone we will know whether the soul survives or it dies. What happens to it? What are we? Wherefrom have we come?
