YouTube is a beautiful thing. It has given me a platform to find my voice & share it with the world. It has afforded me connections with people from all ends of the earth and is only continuing to prove day in & day out how universal music is. Its empowering to be able to take control, create content thats all your own, & build a solid, loyal fan base all by yourself. Bringing people together, spreading positivity all while opening endless doors to where I need to be. But does being a YouTuber mean Ive never stepped foot on a stage before? Absolutely not! Ive been gigging for years. But I feel had I not utilized this medium, I would have been a fool. Had I listened to that friend from high school that told me, You should really get yourself off the computer or anyone else like that for that matter, I wouldnt be where I am today. Its a huge part of where music is headed, in my opinion and if youre not keeping up with how ever-evolving this industry is, then youre not relevant and youre not moving forward. You wouldnt believe how many opportunities YouTube has afforded me, Make Or Break: The Linda Perry Project included. And it only keeps growing. I think YouTube and I will be friends for a long time.
