Zim U-14 rugby team leave for South Africa ZIMBABWE Under-14 team left this morning to take part at the Craven Week Festival which gets underway on Monday in the Limpopo area of Bela-Bela, South Africa. The Under-14 side had their fairwell cocktail at St John’s College last night after having their last training session at the school. Zimbabwe coach, Bryan Radimeyer, said he was happy with the shape of his team. “We had a good outing, the boys have had good training sessions and we are just hoping for the best results,” said Radimeyer. The week-long festival will start on Monday and Zimbabwe have been drawn in a tough pool where they are set to take on the Golden Lions in their opening game of the rugby jamboree. The way Zimbabwe will perform in their opening game will determine their next opponents from their eight-team pool that includes SWD Eagles, Valke, Golden Lions, Pumas, Griffons, Border CD Border, theFree State Cheetahs and bitter rivals Namibia. The other pool is made up of Blue Bulls, Boland, Leopards, Eastern Province, Limpopo Blue Bulls, KwaZulu Natal, Western Province and Griquas. The technical trio of Radimeyer, assistant coach Orlando Fenandes and team manager Tan Dinhindza are hopeful Zimbabwe will come back with some good results. Dinhindza said he was grateful to all the parents who assisted with funds for the festival. “We are very greatful to all the parents and individuals who showed us support and have made our trip succesful. We hope this time around will win,” said Dinhindza.
