________BECOMING AN ADOPTIVE/FOSTER FAMILY______ The best way to adopt a horse (via our Rescue) is to become approved by our association. Please do not wait the to find THE Horse before you ask to become approved. The approval is valid for three years. The process is very simple. We do not refuse adoptive families but rather give them instructions and recommendations as well as a membership card prior to approval. Please know we receive tons of emails and calls and our role is NOT to find a home as soon as possible BUT to find THE BEST FAMILY who will care and love the adopted horse. Thank you for your understanding. _______________REQUIREMENTS_____________ *Be 18 years or older *Respect the conditions, the infrastructure requirements, have experience with horses and have an inspection done of your facility/farm by one of our agents assigned by our association. *The responsibility of a horse includes an understanding of the needs of his health and well-being as well as the knowledge and skills to administer care. The people in charge of horses must also be aware of the relevant legislation and requirements and recommendations in the code of practice for equine practices _______THE COST OF APPROVAL VIA GALAHAD FOR 2013 _____ Please note that all the horses for adoption via our Rescue are FREE; however we ask for minimum Inspection Fee *Become an adoptive family (on your own property), Adopt and keep yor horse at a boarding facility, Complete Public Boarding Facility 100$ *Adopt and keep your future horse at an already pre-approved farm 50$ These fees are NON-taxable. *A GIFT CERTIFICATE from our Sponsor Greenhawk Equestrian worth $100 will be offered at the time of adoption. *A FREE Galahad membership card with rebates to our participating sponsors. *All Horses are offered FREE for adoption with a legal contract lerefugedegalahad/contact/ ***Since Quebec is so vast, we are missing inspection agents in many regions.
