a 12 year old kid in Cleveland cuts the orange end off of a BB Gun, waves it outside a community center, the police are called , they show up, tell the kid to put down the gun, its dark and the police have no clue its a BBgun. Instead the kid goes for the gun, in a community center, with civilians around. Police make difficult decision and a 12 year old is dead. Tragic indeed but not the police fault.
