anyone have their drivers license renewal coming up? well, i got my letter in the mail and find some disturbing things in it. there is now a REAL ID license that they are encouraging you to get now because in the near future it seems you will need this type of license to validate your identity at airports and all federal buildings. the federal government is requiring these. to obtain one you must verify your identity (even if you have had a license for many years) with documents such as birth certificate, social security card, passport, current address drivers license, etc. does anyone else find this intrusive and another piece of freedom being lost? jeez, how do people without an id vote??? i guess they dont have to enter a federal building or board an aircraft. pretty soon we will have to carry our REAL ID everywhere and present it upon demand.
