...arite, heres my statement on things; firstly I want to thank everyone who came out on Saturday night in NY. I great time was had by all!! I would like to thank ALL of the fans that have supported the band and our stupid circus for the past five years. Youve provided the opportunity for all of us to experience some incredible moments. To get a band named Tainstick on the Billboard charts!?!? Amazing. The band is done, as is my participation in the Jason Ellis Show in any way-shape-or-form. The atmosphere of verbal and psychological abuse both on, and off, air had become intolerable in the past few months. I was already in discussions with other staff members about how I could transition out of it way before Mic Gate but that was the straw that broke the camels toe for me . I am a HUGE fan of Kevin Krafts and seeing the disrespect that he has suffered put the nail in the coffin and the clock had been ticking for a while. There is no bigger a fan of the show than that guy and what hes been through is, frankly, bullshit. There were some of my favourite moments in my radio career on the show with those guys and at our peak I, legitimately, considered myself, Tully, Rawdog and Ellis, Cullen and Check to be the Wu-Tang Clan of radio, a ridiculous team (Rawdog was, clearly, our ODB). Its a shame that that perspective wasnt shared by all of us. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have pulled-off the things that we did and have under our own steam, unaided by anyone other than the fans. I wish that you folks couldve been in the room while we were working on lyrics for the records because you really wouldve seen the team at its fullest powers. Brilliant. The Naked Vocals segment of the show was my greatest accomplishment, and Ellis idea. It was always so rewarding to hear how people were educated and entertained by that. To have people tell me that it gave them a greater understanding and appreciation for the art, well as a fan of radio and music there is no more amazing a compliment than that . Thanx. Thats all. Thats it. Its just a band. Its just radio. Thank you all for everything you gave me and us. I never took it for granted and was always grateful. Ill continue to do my shows on Faction and Alt Nation and also show up on Judes podcast and, of course, maintain my role of Cap on the Mad Scientists Party Hour. Thanx again. Be cool.
