as salaam o alaikum wa rahmat ullah wa barakatu hu Respect & regards for father’s friends Umar (رضى الله عنه) said that he heard the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)of Allah saying: “The finest act of goodness & virtue is to treat the friends & associates of the late father with affection & regards”.[Muslim] Note: This Hadith elaborates that continuation of respectful treatment & good behaviour with father’s friends & acquaintances after the death of father, is reckoned as part of fulfillment of the rights of father.
