Its in both Irish and English. Micheal D Higgins will have received both versions as it was posted this morning. ***************************************************************************************** A Chara, As a citizen of this country I am disgusted at the way our country has been and is being destroyed by this present Government, by the Gardai and the private for profit company “Irish Water”. The Government will not listen to the People, instead we are being ignored, abused, threatened and intimidated with threats of jail hanging over our heads if we do not do as we are told. When confronted by the People in Dublin last week, the Governments private security (The Gardai) said that they were there to protect “Irish Water” and not the People. If this is truly the case that the Gardai no longer protect the People then who will? As President of this country it is your job to protect the People and the Irish Constitution from this blatant and obvious abuse of power. Use the power that We The People entrusted You with, to protect our People, Our Country and Our Constitution. My Country will not stand aside any longer as we no longer have a voice as the banks and Denis O Brien now control everything, both television and radio along with the papers as well. As a fellow “Irish” man and as Uachtaran na hEireann you have a duty to our People as our People cannot take any more of this abuse. As a 74 year old “Irish” man and a true Republican I have always stood by My Country, I have been loyal to Ireland, I have sailed all over the world as a merchant seaman and I have always been proud of My Heritage, Culture and Teanga. My children have been encouraged to speak “Irish” as have my grand children (all 11 of them). How in Gods name can I continue to ask my grand children to be proud of their country when it has been destroyed by greedy bankers, incompetent politicians and get rich quick bastards who never seem to have enough?
