For example, not all will hate or abuse animals. Not all are totally devoid of moral consciousness. Sometimes they might do a selfless act. My father is a sociopath, but he loved our dog... maybe the only thing he ever loved. He lies about everything, is completely amoral, extremely charming and has an iq off the charts. He is an expert at emotional manipulation and expert con artist, he is totally self absorbed and incapable of empathy... except for the dog. He would never kill anyone or any animals, but he will, however, lie, cheat, and exploit everyone he comes across. I love him, but know he will never love me in return. It is difficult to strike a balance between emotional distance and being a daughter because I cannot trust him, ever. If his mouth is moving, he is lying. If we were not blood, Id cut him off for good. If you know a psychopath, run far away. Youre wasting precious time and energy and will only get hurt again and again.
