The fact that some adoptees are doing well is the result of sheer luck because they matched well with their adoptive parents and not the outcome of a professional system where the child is safeguarded. There are many others who are very unhappy. It is unethical solution to a problem where children are often treated as means and not as ends. There are ethical ways to help countries and children.
