flash back to working out of the Selma UFW office with Lupe Ortiz helping la raza fill out papelero. some people from Canada stopped by to help out. or maybe they were from the boycott? anyway someone gave them some tamales to eat. very sadly they said they were great but the corn husk was hard to chew. we forgot to tell them to take off la hoja. !! and then during la huelga Roger McAfee came in wanting to help. no one told him anything..so siendo YO.. I ordered him to bring food for the people. He came back with half a beef, big sacks of beans and rice. yep he freed Angela Davis and yep for a minute there I was accused of being a communists... pero come disfrutamos la comida con los huelgistas. and then there was Patty Davis situation.. someway; somehow, someone called to set up a distribution center to give away la carne. yep the poor benefited from the million dollar give away. viva del rey.. you all know who you are:) me recuerdo esto bien,,,, because that is the year I turned 21.
