for what its worth--> you can see, that we are fighting against a gigantic spin machine here, right? that is where we need to focus. as soon as the election results were in, the big spin machine began to tell us what we had done wrong, and why Democrats lost etc etc. that is kind of like a used car dealer telling you everything that is wrong with your car that he wants to offer you a bargain price for. i dont think what is wrong with our system can be reduced to one report, even if it was 800 pages. i remember well, speaking to one of the leaders of Battleground Texas, in Waco, not long after Wendy and the Unruly Mob had rocked the world by starting a strong new Womens Rights front-- in TEXAS (of all places.) at that time, he wasnt predicting any wins for Democrats in 2014. He talked about a slow, but steady erosion of the GOP dominance. Hopefully, he is still at work on that. He described how it had been done in other states. First, with a core of dedicated organizers. Willing to work long and hard, just to get out in the field and knock on doors and talk to people who had never voted before. they didnt try and convince these people that it was important for them to vote blue, or even to vote. they just talked to them. they just talked about Uncle Fred and Granpa, and little Jimmy and Sally and the farm or the job or the house or whatever, just life. that is the way to build a grass-roots base. but it doesnt guarantee any landslide wins for progressives. i think we need to do that. we need to build, from the bottom up. but we also need to attack the spin machine, RIGHT NOW. we need to stop listening to ABC, CNN and FOX, and we need to start TELLING THEM what we want. we need to get LOUDER THAN FOX. that wont be easy.
