good evening. i have to share some FACTS with our general public of many who seem to have the wrong information and is sharing it on social media here. first there are many who seem to think manitoba hydro does fund things for our people and community. this has to be the most WRONG statement i have ever heard. think about this, manitoba hydro has made billions, how? they destroy an economy that our people depended on, they funded themselves and that is called self sufficiency. manitoba hydro does not fund things like trappers festival or the hotlunch program or the paving of the roads, these are being funded by the lands who hydro makes all its billions from, whose lands are they getting it from? well it is our lands you and me. we fund all that hydro is doing and i will die before i thank hydro for doing anything in pimickamak. second thing, the fact is manitoba hydro is using indian reserve 19d and hydro does not have a PERMIT! Canada stands by us and states that canada will facilitate a compensation regime for the use of your reserve lands FROM WHEN THEY FIRST BUILT THE TRANSMISSION LINE coming into cross lake. now cross lake has arrears in its hydro bills, there is not much it is about 1.1 million, i am sure that if manitoba hydro would PAY ITS BILL they can write off this amount and cross lake would be paid the balance of what hydro OWES! THEY OWE YOU! third thing. once hydro asks (you) for a section 28 permit, they are subject to conditions to be on the permit. this means you can negotiate a rate that is reflective of the fact that they are on your property, this is done in any property law or act in the rest of the world. if this is good for all of the rest of the world then i declare it should be good for us. we are human beings and should be respected as human beings. last thing if you dont know these facts then i suggest you ask and get INFORMED before you share your thoughts on social media. sharing wrong information is destructive and doesnt serve justice. in the case of this stand our people are taking, a great injustice has been occurring and it is time to resolve it because lets face it NOONE WILL DO IT FOR US! I REPEAT NOONE WILL DO IT FOR US! ekosi it is my hope that we as a people have some compassion and regard for the ones who are being beaten in silence. as long as i see little ones coming i will defend their right to exist and be free to pursue their rightful place on their lands as a GOD fearing people. i hope these few facts will resonate and make people look at their children and say to them, you will not get an education in vain.
