great responses from our community in the thread below about lockdown drills in local schools. We have good info from parents and also from a school security staffer (former)....Edwina Voodoo: Most of the schools in Jefferson County (Louisville, KY) have a police officer in the building. Some of the schools have provided office space, too. The officers walk around a little bit but from what Ive seen theyre parked in their office or chatting up the office staff. I heard one say, I cant do anything about disciplinary issues until someone has committed an assault. Then, I can step in.
