hmmmmm..hahahaha this is what senator Isaac Nyenabo said recently on a talk show in Liberia: “There are a number of people you must send to the Legislature. You must sent informed business people, informed civil society people, informed academicians. You must have expertise to perform the advocacy and activism role. Though the constitution does not attach an education requirement for those who go to the Legislature; but an uneducated person cannot perform oversight on Ministry of Finance, Commerce or the Central Bank. These entities have expertise; you must be an educated person perform. We should start thinking about upping the requirement for those who go to the Legislature. A parliamentarian is a talkative, one who speaks about the issues and able to articulate the issues on the floor.” Is he being realistic or just buying time?
