https://plus.google/112489407742535481877/posts/UnYTEUBF6XU Biz Tip Of The Day: After reading the story about Barney’s racial profiling issue, I thought of the amount of damage control their team is in store for. When a company receives bad publicity especially when it’s to this degree, it is always best for the representative of the company to respond quickly, stick to the basics, and just be honest about the situation on hand. People do not want to hear how this could have been prevented they want you to be honest and know what the company plans on doing about what happened. Sometimes bad press can bring light to the company because it forces them to improve and be better than before. At the end of it all you want to leave your consumers on a note like, yes this happened but look at all we have done to fix the issue and how we have improved our corporate social responsibility for the future. The public can be a lot more forgiving than you think. Would you forgive a company if you see they have improved for the better after a big scandal?
