Reflecting on things while talking with Leslee Crews into the wee hours this morning gives me such hope (yes, Diane Click I realize you dont like that word but there it is! ;)) I went through my Pandoras Box a few weeks ago as I prepared to move to Sherman. Inside it were all manner of memories from several decades of my life... Match book memories. Everything from napkins, cards, bottle caps, movie stubbs, magazine and newspaper articles about this and that, train ticket stubs from when I proposed to Erin~ Each a veritable treasure trove of melancholy memories. After last night it was clear that Id been holding on to some unhealthy aspects of the past and what I did a couple weeks ago was face some fears..Ghosts of lifetimes past~ Started out as two full totes and after sifting through every single piece, every single item, every single memory, there was a shoebox left. The unbearable heaviness of being...Anchored. Battling ghosts is no easy task~ Turns into spiritual warfare in its finest hourglass figurine. Theres no strength in metal that hasnt been tried in the fire. I am stronger for having faced those bits and pieces and for having let go. 3 years~ Onward Christian Soldier~
