( i found this hard to word as i dont want to offend anyone on this page as without you this charity page wouldnt exist so please read with an open mind) When your told your loved one has a devastating illness you feel so alone and feel that nobody understands as a brain tumour/brain disease isnt seen as what I can only describe as a normal cancer there isnt normally any reason you can tell no loss of weight ect so its unseen and unheard of (no one believes it will happen to them) I can remember people saying we didnt realise how ill adi was he looked so well and he did bless him and unless you have been affected by this its still hard to understand I live in Lincoln and its not the biggest place in the world and I felt very alone in my darkest hours yet setting up this charity has made me realise and probably many others Lincolnshire like many other homes where people behind closed doors are going through the biggest battle they may ever have to face, decisions they never thought they would have to make their lives turned upside down are not in bubble wrap it is really happening here in Lincoln/Lincolnshire I have promised to many who have been in touch in confidence that I would not divulge names and I will always keep my promise however we need to act on this and try to get the awareness out there the family had to fight for 2 months before getting the diagnosis after constant persistence from her family that she was ill and it wasnt just a infection as Drs had said it was, i would like to say to this young girl who is another inspiration to me i wish you and your family all the best and can only say never lose hope and stay strong we all wish you all the best for a very bright and successful future paula green xx
