i hv some questions regarding boiler... 1.after blowing through gauge glass why water side cock is opened first. 2.what is d need 4 cross blowing through..i mean we do it by opening steam isolating v/v and water cock....why cnt it b done by opening steam isolating v/v and steam cock...dis will also show dat steam isolating v/v is clear..... 3.correct me if m wrong.....scum blow down line is connected to blow down line overboard...and fn. of scum v/v is to remove any floating impurity or oil....but in case of oil it will b a violation of marpol.....also it is written in books,in case of oil in boiler,,,scumming is done...so where d final discharge is led to...overboard or anywhere else....
