i lived for a year in 72 with a farming family at bear ferry crossing on the keum river...to go to the university i had a choice of walking into town and catching a bus or taking a ferry like this one, only i was usually the only passenger...i used it often in the summer and the ferryman, a mr. park, had a drinking habit...often i would arrive at the opposite side and yell for him, but to no avail...on such occasions i had to strip down and swim to the other side, where i usually found him drunk and asleep on the floor of the boat...i would skull the ferry to the other side, pick up my clothes and bag, and skull across again...i got pretty good at skulling and theres nothing like a swim at the end of a long hot day^^...
