i might not be getting as much publicity and promotion as other climbers do but No-Publicity would not lessen the achievement and success Ive had in mountains in past few months or in those more than 11 years or take away dedication and passion ive had for my mountaineering or that little contribution i made in women mountaineering in Nepal. When i decided to continue long lost seven summits dream mid last year, i was alone with no financial support. traveling to different corners of world to climb the highest mountains in each continent might sound fancy to most of the people but for me it was no less than going for a world war. with limited but all the savings of my life, i headed to one after another continent. from being cheated by people, to being deported from airport to being stranded at the airport for days and days to losing all the money to again being cheated to losing the baggage to being harrased about passport, non-scanable passport and heavy bags etc etc i faced them all. however, climb in Argentina was different, very tough at the same time very rewarding, also great partner. when people meet me they ask which country next? as if ive got the wish fulfilling Genie or lottery or big hidden treasure or around the world ticket. People even ask “did you actually climb?” “coz we didn’t read or hear your news”. dear friends, my struggles, stories and climbs might not be covered in leading newspaper or presented in highly popular TV interviews, but it does mean I don’t have any.
