i now know what i didnt know before i know now that no matter how much i did know i actually didnt know much the only consolation is i know that now for instance a doctorate in political science does not prepare you for the loss of your beloved does not teach you how to handle your grief properly theres no rule book you have to write it yourself as you move along through your daily business your international relations theories does not instruct you about personal relations sundered by death diplomacy may prevent international war it cannot however even reduce the anguish of a grieving heart international political economy may help trace legal and illicit commodity and financial flows it cannot though remedy an asphyxiated memory one needs more than these degrees and theories one must learn or relearn to be human again to have a soul once more to regain ones humanity to reanimate ones spirit.
