i try not to assign some great spiritual why to our pain and sufferings........it can be a snare for dwelling in the past. I understand we are living in a fallen world. Much as a baby doesnt ask why it is sick with the flu, so our spiritual condition is to be as innocent and as unassuming that we somehow did something to deserve our plight. Or........on a more twisted note, that our physical pain and suffering should propel us to some higher spiritual enlightenment that God requires of us for His pleasing. My God is not a sadist freak that delights in the suffering of His children for their purposed spiritual growth. NO!!!!!! God is grieved by our suffering and pain. I suffered a terrible(nearly fatal) childhood injury, i have no recollection of asking anyone why or what i was to learn from the experience. I accepted the truth of the situation without explanation or demanding an answer from God. When Yeshua tells us to be like little children i believe He is speaking to our unassuming and innocent born again nature. Dont get caught in the woe is me.....or God, what are you trying to teach me cycle.........it is FUTILE. We live in a fallen world and our bodies are subject to it. Stop self hating, self blaming and assigning God the role of some sadistic freak unable to teach without inflicting pain.
