is this food/drink bad for me? Answer: Theres no complete bad or good. It depends! If your goal is fat loss and youre consuming lots of calorie rich foods its going to be difficult to keep your daily total energy intake in range for fat loss to occur. That makes drinking sugary drinks during the day a dumb strategy for fat loss. However, if youre struggling gaining muscle AND weight, in other words youre skinny skinny, that sugary drink around workouts can help you increase muscle. In this case the sugary drink is GOOD. A food/item does NOT have to be healthy to build muscle and burn fat. But if youre maintaining excellent health building muscle and burning fat will be facilitated. Someone who wants to drop 100 lbs need to create excellent dietary habits and thats the reason you seldom see someone get ripped on cookies and milk. However, someone who is already living a fit life consuming fat loss promoting, muscle building food and train hard can afford anti-fat loss promoting foods because a lean body reacts differently to a sudden surplus in calories compared to an overweight persons system. Does that mean the lean individual achieved a lean physique with cookies and milk? No. Does that mean the lean individual achieved a lean physique with a strict diet followed by strategic surplus calorie occasions? YES. The LEANER you get, the more MUSCLE you acquire the MORE food you can EAT without gaining fat. Isnt that motivation to lose the bulge? A lady was disappointed with me today because I posted my infatuation with WEST COAST CHILL. I want to express my comments on that; 1. I do not stand for you need to eat 100% clean 100% of the time to get lean, healthy and fit. 2. I do NOT believe you need to steer away from all poisons all the time to be healthy. 3. I know a lot of people who eat 100% clean who are either obese or unhealthy or have weak muscles. 4. Diet and training are tools, not absolutes. 5. I practice a STRATEGIC and SMART approach to achieve my goals, I dont follow my own rules out of principle. 6. You need to be flexible in your mind and realize one size doesnt fit all and sometime doesnt mean all the time. 7. Do not get hung up on details but on the big picture. 8. Work as HARD as you THINK in the gym and youll get far 9. REAL RESULTS win over philosophy 10. If you want to prove me Im wrong, please do, show by setting example.
