just finished a session on whistleblowers, willful blindness, strength of character and loyalty on TED. and I reflect on the nuclear mess swelling Japan. Strange place.... people are so placid and stoic. but such widespread corruption, willful blindness, lacking of moral compass and justice.... the myth that japan is a place of strong character is what it is, a myth and a lie, it is country of weak character, bright lights but empty lives, faithless and dishonest. it is a bully coward culture. take away the coward and bully, and you are still left with cowards. its been 2 years since the contamination at Fukushima, but the people are so numbed, everyone is just waiting to die. no one cares. No one wants to live. No will to fix anything. so sad. who and what can save them? materialism and shintoism cannot fill the emptiness, perhaps its time to find another faith.
