last night was amazing! spent a lot of time learning about youth outreach in Stockholm from my sister Camila Salazar Atias and her crew at Citygruppen Lugna Gatan, who walk the streets and subways reaching out to young people and setting an example of care and responsibility. In an area where there was a riot two nights earlier, we shared thoughts and listened to kids to let them know they matter, and that they can achieve whatever they set their minds to. This experience was all the more profound as it included my brothers Søren Lerche, Khan Safi, Peter Svensson, Hector Verdugo and Robert from Homeboy Industries, Charlie Vasquez from Against Violent Extremism, a crew of youth workers from København, and my sister Nina, who studies the economic advantages of prevention over reaction. A crew made up of people from Afghanistan, Chile, Denmark, Morocco, Sweden, and the US. I am a lucky dood =)
