my tuner apparently got busted open in transit to the show. in the dark i could not tell what was wrong...it wanted me to tune ungodly high even though all the settings were right. i broke a total of 4 strings trying to tune then thought my guitar was broken cuz the bridge lifted way up. turns out that was because the strings were way too tight. tried a borrowed guitar and could not tune that either. finally a third borrowed guitar with a borrowed tuner that worked right. finally S O R R Y O K was ready to play our set and end the show. of course the tone wasnt what i wanted with a different guitar and the newly fixed guitar pedals new parts made it sound less crunchy than i wanted....so i turned the volume up really loud to get more crunch. thats when my old man tenitis hearing problems kicked in and i started hearing nothing but buzzing in the left ear. we performed as best we could and i commend my awesome pro bandmates for doing so well. it was awkward and strange. it was good. if this was the last sorry ok performance that will be remembered as oddly appropriate. xoxo-shugE
