near Dublin. All About Melanie Picture Melanie McCabe, born July 11th 1993 in Rotunda Hospital to Clare McCabe and Darragh McCabe. Melanie attends Mount Temple School in Dublin. Melanie is an Irish singer known for her appearance on the X Factor UK. Melanie 1st auditioned in 2008 when she was just 14 years old. She sang Beautiful, by Christina Aguilera in her first audition. At boot camp she sang Mercy and Hero.Melanie and Liam Payne were together all the time. It was really tough for her because she was only 14 but she had her mummy there to help her. Melanie got through to Boot Camp but sadly she didn’t make it through to Judges House’s because of her age. In 2011, when Melanie was 17 she auditioned again, she sang Rihanna - Only Girl in the world and made it through to boot camp where she sang Firework by Katy Perry and Feeling Good by Nina Simone. This got her through to judges houses where she got performed Grenade, by Bruno Mars and I’ll Be There –Jackson 5 for one of her idols Jennifer Hudson and her mentor Kelly Rowland in Miami. Melanie just loved having a taste of the celebrity life, going to Miami was a dream of Melanie’s. Melanie and fellow contestant Misha B got on so well , Unfortunately she did not make it through to the Live Shows Melanie said she cried the whole way home from Miami because it meant so much to her. But Melanie didn’t give up, she came back again in 2012 and yet again wowed the judges, she sang Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge over Troubled Water for Mel B known as Scary Spice, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh. Once again she got an amazing reaction! Melanie went with 4 massive yes’s and 4 Brilliant comments. Melanie got through to Boot camp where she sang Respect and A Change is gonna come, Melanie promised a former contestant that she would go on a date to Nandos with him if she passed the first stage of boot camp and she did. She had to keep her promise and go to Nandos. Melanie said “It was really embarrassing”but she is always up for fun so she just did it. Melanie said in 2012 she loved getting to know all the different people and she loved meeting the new judge Nicole. She said “Nicole is so lovely and really encouraging” Unfortunately Melanie didn‘t get through to Judges House’s. Hopefully this isn’t the end for her. Melanie has named her fans Melievers .
