** needing a very special home** Alex came to us in october a body scale of one. He had been running loose down the road with 5 mares that he bred. He was signed over to me by his owner after it was made apparent he could NOT BE properly cared for. All of the mares found homes immediately but we held alex back as he was much too fhin to risk stressing. Alex is supposedly in his 20s according to his American saddlebred papers that accompanied him. He has had shots and coggins and extensive deworming. His weight is much more appropriate considering breed and body type but still has a ways to go. The vets believe he may have some insulin resistance so it is important he have someone who knows how to maintain an IR horse. Alex also has soundness issues on his hooves that will need further attention and care. I am looking to rehome home to someone TRULY interested in helping him. Vet references and other references will be REQUIRED and are NOT negotiable. He will NOT wind back up in this situation. Alex is a stallion but is incredibly well mannered. He loves blanketing and will stand tied all day for grooming. If anybody feels they could offer alex a forever home PLEASE PM me.
