not to be snooty, but if you think boracay is the best beach in the philippines, you need to travel around the phillippines more.... why? havent you heard of magpupungco beach in siargao? (no, im not misspelling siargao...thats actually the place where billabongs annual international surfing competion is held) how about apo reef in mindoro occidental...oh apo reef! i cant tell you enough how blue the water is there, how white the sand is, how virgin and unurban and how awesome it is to snorkel (and scuba dive, im not a diver but my diver friends said so) how about maira-ira beach in pagudpud ilocos norte? and potipot and capones and anawangin in zambales (now these i havent been to yet but i heard lots of good stories!) oh and dont get me started on palawan.... the starfish island or snake island (which i heard one of them was bought by a filipino celebrity) of puerto princessa...... the very enchanting coron (i love the lakes!)....and ofcourse the prettiest, el nido! yes, you need to travel more in your own country.....wag maging dayuhan sa sarili mong bayan!
