nothing in school has frustrated me more than the no hat/hood rule. school board claims that headwear can serve as a distraction. mind you, the hat on my head, or anyone elses, is only a distraction if you allow it to be. next up, the school board also claims that headwear can be intimidating. i dont understand how an inanimate object resting on my head could even come close to startling you, its not gonna pin you to the wall and steal your lunch money. news flash; if someones in a gang and they are wearing a hat and you make them take it off, through common logic you would be able to know that they are still involved in a gang. therefore, im making a biased petition and bringing it forward to the schoolboard - im taking a minimum of 500 student & staff signatures whom approve appropriate headwear that follows all other school dress code guidelines. and i know most people wont give a shit or wont even take the time to read this status fully, but this is something that matters to me. and even tho regardless this will probably just get turned down or make little to no difference, im doing it for the sake of saying that i tried
