o teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12 We have it so backwards dont we? We live this life here on earth as if we will live forever.....When in fact it is the opposite....our life here is described as but a vapor in James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. How can we make better use of our time here? By making sure that we are Laying not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:19-21 Funny, it reminds me of the question posed yesterday....By the end of this day we will likely be closer to the Lord or closer to the world. Which will it be for you? Because see, if we are closer to the Lord, we know that our life here in this world is only temporary and we have our eyes fixed on Jesus and sharing Jesus with a lost and dying world, storing up treasures in Heaven. Making that difference that is described in Jude.....And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 22-23 So, the question this morning is are we living like our life here is only temperary? Do you know where you will spend your eternity? heaven or hell? the choice is yours....(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philipians 2:12 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
