ok then here we go hello and good evening to family and friends. Heres a hopefully a quick update for Gordo. Hes been having all these high fevers for him lately. Well now the last post or so I had said that there was fluids around the spleen and the liver. Well the doctors have decided to go in and get some fluid for the areas with fluid so the abdomen. Its putting a large and very long like needle and drawing out fluids that are either infections or still inflammatory (which wed like to be just still inflamed from this extreme internal bruising) however to rule out other medical issues they are gonna do this to help get a grip on this fluid build up AGAIN around the spleen and liver. Now if these test come back as nothing and its just a bit of fluid that the wound pack hasnt gotten cause to high up in the abdomen then worst case is they ll put a little thin drainage tube in the hole he had one in before while in ICU ( is not a huge procedure its actually could be done with in a couple of minutes to maybe an hour tops. (God willing just a little drainage tube is all he needs) !!!! So with this in mind hes trying to do more in doing more therapy. He does his hands, arms and breathing exercises and then moves to try and do his leg and feet exercises and more breathing exercises. Right now he has a real hard time of taking a deep breathe and holding it for more than a its there and done. He has to keep it in for atleast (drs say) 2-3 seconds. he cant yet so its flustered at this. So we now know and the nurses are trying to help us with him to help with this make him do it several times a day. This breathing exercise is the exercise his LUNGS to strengthen them more. hes still not strong enough to sit up without support for more than a couple of minutes. However when he is sitting in a chair they keep him I nit for atleast an hour or until he has pushed his nurse call button. he is trying to eat more each meal. Today he had a lot actually and is starting to get some snacks in between things like the ensure pudding and yogurt and applesauce and plenty of juices (he loves his juices) but most of all he loves water and that right there does help with healing but hes starting to see and know that milk, ensue and juices are good for the healing also. So please family and friends keep up the prayers and support thoughts and THANK YOU GOD FOR YOUR HEALING HANDS OVER HIM !!!!!!!!!! one of our main goals is to keep him out of the 6th surgery until its time to finally close up his abdomen for the final closing ( whats underneath the wound vac pack) Now I finally got to be in the room to physically see his wound and its looking great. a lot of new growth of healthy tissue but not quiet up to the ability to do a final closing yet!!!!!!!!!!!! so patience and and more recovery to heal quickly.
