one month ago today, i left behind a modest little town of 700 in the middle of the night, headed due east for a not-so-modest city of 8.5 million. it may be a little much to acknowledge such a small milestone, but it feels like eternity to me. ive had thirty days to turn back, but this is where i belong. i try very little to make sense of how something so inanimate like a zip code could make someone feel so complete, because it does, and being happy - along with an unbelievable support system back home...and facebook...and skype...and visitors - sure makes the distance more manageable. i remain grateful to have joined so many others who have sacrificed something to turn a dream into a reality. our stories are different and theyve all inspired me in some way. mine just happens to involve a change in scenery 1500 miles away. am i still in love? yes. absolutely. every day. #yesiknowiknowimeannewjersey #feelgoodfriday
