our new neighbour is a professional tracker and has written a book called Cybertracking -the origin of science( free online). He says that tracking is not just about understanding the spoor but about getting into the body of the animal you are hunting with your imagination. Only then can you understand the animal and follow him. This he says was the beginning of science. makes sense to me. Traditional Chinese medicine and probably all Traditional medicines evolved through a combination of inner and outer investigation and probably what we do today, also working with experience and experiment. The great scientist uses both approaches, using both logic and intuition. Logic deals with the objective world, Intuition with the subjective. We miss half of reality by trying to be logical only.
