our parents were very involved in the community,and church.they had a lot to do with making sure all people were treated right. the G.I.Forum the Guadalupanas etc. this float was in the annual fair parade n featured las reynas de amarillo sponsered by our lady of guadalupe n the g.i. fourum.boy scout troop 92 which melaquias began .idk the girls on the float but the scouts are bernadino gonzales art ornelas n eugene velasquez.raymond solano is in the pic also. i think 2 of the queens are rosa ortega gloria jean quintero but not sure anyway all girls from our neighborhood. the barrio
