read Judges 2:18-19: “Whenever the LORD raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the LORD relented because of their groaning under those who oppressed and afflicted them. But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their ancestors, following other gods and serving and worshiping them...” This same cycle of sin occurs six times in the book of Judges. With each cycle, Israel sank a little lower in their downward spiral. This is the story of mankind. But faith in Jesus breaks the cycle as God gives us a new life. I gave up my way for let Him have His way. You too?
