read till finish... its a teary one! I started the day off really well, but towards the end it turned around and went downhill. As I finished work, I bumped into an elderly lady. Literally bumped into her! In my fluster of embarrassment I apologized, its been a rough day...I was in a rush to get home As I felt extremely bad I offered to help her with what she dropped. I noticed it was a white cane. Now I felt terrible, bumping into a blind elderly lady, EVEN MORE terrible when she asked why my day was going sour. My reason was so insignificant compared to what life had unfortunately dealt her. We got to talking and after we built some rapport I asked very politely how does one feel... being blind? She thought about it for a few seconds, in a small silence. Then she lit up like a lightbulb and smiled. Im better than good, and better than most!! and as the tears began to build up in my eyes she laughed in hope to cheer me up. I was stopped, SPEECHLESS! She tapped me with her cane and finished with a sentence be thankful for what you have, and enjoy every day as it comes This really resonated within me. What reason can we really give, what right do we really have, to complain? When someone robbed of their sight, can happily spend their days, in complete contentment.... heavy days #stayhungry #bethankful #motivationformonday #anotherweek #anotheropportunity
