Germany is perfect for that: Every village has a butcher with an added restaurant with added guestrooms, ran by some local maidens with superb local food and service and linen bedding ! Cant beat them ! Easy to do. Just rent the bikes and get on the road ... The recent years before this : Bike ride to Santiago de Compostella from the Spanish / French border; The river Main from spring to Frankfurt; along the banks of river Donau (Danube) from spring to Vienna; all along the Baltic Sea from Hamburg to Poland border; New Zealand, all over the South Island; Romantic Road from Rothenburg to Vienna along the opposite side of the Danube; the big U-turn through the Swiss Alps (uff); and last year Vienna Budapest Prag triangle, totally rained out and soaking wet ...
