so 2014 is coming to an end and what a cracker of a year it has been for team Ekko! we saw our first ever dressage competitions take place with a total of over 100 tests completed! the birth of the beautiful baby indigo, and also the sale of our homebread 4yo Mylo. as for team ekkos competition season this year we have definitely taken the place by storm! Rebecca Bates becoming petplan regional champion on Hermione Keepings Ekko Zham and qualifying him for the nationals, beccy has also qualified our own Ekko Summer Solstice for the petplan nationals too! Keri Bates has qualified our own EDS Elegast Van Sombeke for the winter regional finals and their average score over their two years together is 69%! keri also dug out her showjumping gear and won every combined training class entered this year, she has qualified for the 1.10M combined training championships at Solihull. as for our clients and liveries we are very proud of them all, Jo Taylor with the fab Ekko Orra qualified for the 2nd year running for the trailblazers finals at Stoneleigh, she won the warm up class out of over 30 riders with a score of 72%, orras half sister popcorn is following in her footsteps, at 3years old jo has broken her in by herself and has done a fab job... another combination to keep an eye on! Lucy Mills took the step up to medium level and has qualified for the regionals finals with Darkness after very narrowly missing out on the petplan nationals, but fingers crossed for a wild card! Debbie Anderson we think is the star of the year, after deciding she wanted to learn how to ride, she took part in both of our competitions this year and came home with rosettes at both! there is a list as long as chips legs (and thats VERY long!) with the things all of our clients have achieved this year and too many to fit in on here, but we are very proud of them all! we cant forget to mention the falls of 2014 either! Cath Watson took a tumble out the side door off mylo (all keris fault for making mylo spook) beccy also went arena surfing when bella didnt pick up her feet jumping! jo taylor had a lucky escape when orra decided she was a rodeo horse at our show! thanks to everyone for being a part of our fab year! we will be back next year!!!!
