so i have an appraisal problem, my buyer wants an actual old house built in 1898 in Los Angeles and transferred by train to OC back in the 50s., The house specs differs from county recorders office. I called Lawyers title, who I did NOT pick how to resolve the sq ft difference and the additional bath. the additions were done prior to a city becoming incorporated and when counties kept inefficient records. You can tell that any bath and sq. ft added was done a LONG time ago. most of the time when this happens, things are grandfathered in. city told me to contact county. When I called a rep from Lawyers title, she suggested to call the county accessors office, when asked if she had a number to the county and who can help me resolve this, she told me to GOOGLE it... are you kidding me? you would thing a title company could at least get a number with Orange County and the department on how to resolve this issue. been doing real estate over 20 years terrible customer service. what use is this title company, only to collect insurance?
