the annual income for an mp is £67,060 per annum Job seekers - TopicsExpress

the annual income for an mp is £67,060 per annum Job seekers allowance is £72.40 per week, thus £3,764.8 per annum bedroom tax is about £14/week = £728 per annum So for an MP that would be 1.08% If on JSA that equals 19% Do you think MPs would vote to have 19% of their income taken off them? People affected by the bedroom tax have not commited any crime, they are the victims of circumstances. They did not ask to be in a home that is deemed now to have a spare bedroom - and a large percentage of these are disabled people who need the spare room for a carer or equipment - or both!!! Paying/not paying the bedroom tax is a matter of care, health, eating, heating or getting into rent arrears!!!
