the retired state employees slated for a raise are wanting more, - TopicsExpress

the retired state employees slated for a raise are wanting more, and some agency disputes it saying it will cost over 70 million, but they claim they can have it because of budget surpluses, tell me who needs it more, people who were paid all their lives and will still be paid until the end of it on our taxes, or the people in institutions who are struggling to live there or in communities with disabilities? If they have surpluses than how come people receiving services are still experiencing massive cuts and those who work for them in the private sectors? why are some people asked to live well below poverty levels and are struggling? Ive a friend who worked forever for one company and because they are like a church they didnt have to pay him anything to get rid of him, now he struggles on federal retirement income... why cant that money the state workers, probably through their unions are demanding go back into our communities to make our lives more civil and fair? Why does money always accumulate for some and not for all as our constitution seems to indicate it should... I think it is because as in George Orwells novel Animal Farm some animals are more equal than others.... we are in a sad state of affairs in this country, if we have so much then why do our most vulnerable citizens have so little?....
