this is an informal inquiry to all. no offense to any members. zambia is coming up to its 50th anniversary of independence, in october. but since the mid 70s nothing has significantly happen as far as development. we milked the copper cow to death. i keep thinking we should be a singapore, brasil, iceland, ireland, and most of all, ahead of south africa. (could give more comparative examples but that would take forever.) we all have a lot heritage in northern rhodesia/zambia. so as members, would any of you move back to zambia? or is there a fear factor? couldnt we propose an arab spring, orange revolution etc. without having racism, colonialism as words of the day. or, are our memories just memories of our copper land? our land of oz? is this a far gone conclusion? something has gone wrong along the way. hasnt it? (just sharing/expressing some inner feelings.) thanks.
