this is an open message to god: If you are a god and you would like people to believe in you, here is my suggestion... Come to Earth as a human being. Dont do that outdated virgin birth stunt—no sensible people believe that anymore. Just appear fully grown and able to speakevery language on the planet. Be sure to make plenty of miracles happen and dont be afraid to have your powers tested by the worlds finest scientists. You will, of course, be immortal, able to withstand gunshots and will sometimes spend a full day in an industrial furnace, appearing in the morning alive and well without as much as a singed beard. Be sure to use every PR opportunity from writing a blogto appearing on breakfast TV shows. Along the way, predict some earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes ensuring your prediction is used to save many lives. When things look particularly dangerous, you could stop a tsunami in its tracks. People will be impressed and grateful. Help us to solve the difficult problems from good governance to healthcare and from the origins of the universe to the workings of the human brain. Be helpful to people, especially the poor and the hungry. Be a great example of the ethical behaviour you would have us aspire to. Still many people will not believe you are God—they will think you are a trick or a conspiracy by the Illuminati or the military/industrial complex... But, by the time you are 1,000 years old and still look like a thirty year-old man, you will have what you want—everyone will believe in you. And we will all be healthier, happier and nicer people. Now of course, you will have to make a big sacrifice to do this. You will have to live down here among the squabbling people and mosquitoes and you will have tolive without the palaces and rivers of milk and honey you have back home. But that would be a real sacrifice and that really would save us.
