thought for the day. . . traveling home from work tonight, this song began to play from my MP3. The question asked by Mary is essentially why me? Mary knew she had no special training, came from no uppity family and was not special by mans standards in any way. It is not what she was or had, but what she did not that gave her favor in Gods eyes. She did not have arrogance, money, position or any special skills. What Mary did have was a love for her God that would allow her to trust in his guidance and direction. She was willing to submit to him and say not my will but yours. This is the question we all need to ask ourselves today. Are we willing to humble ourselves to the point of being used by God to do his work. Are we willing to submit our will to become more like his Son that others may see his power in our lives and be a light to the lost. To be willing to witness the message of salvation to our family, friends and even strangers so that on that day, when you stand in the presence of the King, you may hear well done though good and faithful servant! PLEASE LISTEN AND PUT YOURSELF IN MARYS SHOES
