up date on grandson After a long night we have some good news! Possibly extibating tomorrow! Having to change up the sedation medications in preparation for extibating. The hard part, he was awake quite a bit last night and each time moving around so they are worried about the tube moving. So they had to give him more sedation. Also the bar that is across his face, is a little big and is having trouble staying stuck so they had to change it 2times last night and each time give him more boost...s of sedation. Very scary for us. It was great to see his beautiful eyes. Wonder what he is thinking, mom what in the world is going in! Im sleeping and you arent holding me! Thats how we sleep a lot of time, especially at st marys hospital. Once during the night with all the extra sedation he was on, his oxygen level dropped. I think my heart rate dropped! This morning he was wide wake for over an hour but I was able to keep him calm enough that he didnt need the extra sedation and he is still sleeping
