valedictory ˌvalɪˈdɪkt(ə)ri/ adjective 1. serving as a farewell. a valedictory wave synonyms: farewell, goodbye, leaving, parting, departing, going away, last, final noun: valedictory; plural noun: valedictories 1. a farewell address. this book of memoirs reads like his valedictory ===== Late this afternoon, Senator Louise Pratt gives her valedictory speech to Parliament, a few days before she moves on to a new phase in her life. If any of my FB friends want to catch it, tune into the site below around 3:30pm AWST, click on the Watch Parliament tab and choose the Senate live link. I will miss her verve and intelligence in the Australian Senate and Im sure many others will regret not having her there as well. But Im pretty sure that this isnt the end of her political career, just a change of direction for a while. You cant keep an intelligent, personable and caring person(s) like Lu and crew out of the political playground forever. I take this moment to publicly wish her good fortune with whatever her next career move(s) will be. I especially wish her and Aram much joy with their upcoming parenting adventure. Its always more of a roller-coaster ride you can imagine before you become a parent yourself. A day of mixed emotions. Wishing the guys and gals of Team Pratt all best for the future. aph.gov.au/
